Message than normal gasoline and has 110 octanes.

E85 means 85% of ethanol mixed with 15% of gasoline (I would asume 91-93 octane gasoline in the US). This means, E85 is equivalent to ~107 octane gasoline, but the mixture has ~25% less energy content than normal gasoline...At the end, you'll need to inject more gasoline to have the same power you'll have with a ~107 octante gasoline.

Also, the ethanol is and oxigenated component (content oxigen in its composition), so it needs less air than gasoline to get to full combustion.
